Walk the OC Boards over a decade and a half ago, virtually, with these 6th Street Boardwalk Photos from 2006.
6th Street and the Boardwalk, Ocean City, Maryland 21842. Sixth Street on the Ocean City Boardwalk is a great place to sit on the beach wall and watch the kites that fly all day. There are places to eat and things to do – all right around here. Buy a t-shirt and buy a kite. Wear the t-shirt and fly the kite…oh, yeah.

The view to the north shows you a rather large T-Shirt Factory and a few ocean front hotels, among them is the Americana Motor Inn with Hammerheads Bar & Grill.
To the west is the Bay and on the Ocean block you can find the Nock Apartments, just look for the green awnings.
Turn to the south to see an oceanfront Italian restaurant, a bike rental shop, the Boardwalk Kite Loft, and the Comfort Inn Boardwalk. This is a great place to sit on the beach wall and watch the kites that fly all day.

Ocean City has several popular kite shops and we do believe in supporting local/small businesses, but in this case you may consider ordering online before your vacation. If you bring your kite(s) and supplies with you you can “fly” as soon as you get here. Often the breeze is just right the evening you arrive and also early the next morning. When you already have your kite you don’t have to go shopping and stand in line waiting to have fun flying over the beach.
