Likely the smallest of the Condo Row buildings, the Flying Cloud Condos are right in the middle of all things good about the Gold Coast – and a close walk to some good restaurants and shopping.

The Flying Cloud Condominium building is located oceanfront at 9402 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, Maryland 21842. The Flying Cloud was built in 1982 and is 8 stories tall. The Flying Cloud has 56 oceanfront one, two and three bedroom units. The Flying Cloud has off site management and one elevator. The Flying Cloud building provides storage lockers and an outside shower. Here you can find a terrific North Ocean City location very near a grocery store, shopping and popular restaurants.

The 9400 Building Condos marks the “beginning” of OCMD’s Condo Row/Gold Coast and, because the building is perpendicular to the shoreline, provides wonderful ocean and bay views from each balcony.
9400 Condos
The 9400 Condominium is a popular building located in North Ocean City at 94th Street and Coastal Highway. These condos were built in 1976 and were built as a continuous pour of concrete, making this one of the “strongest” buildings at the beach. The building offers great views, a fine beach and is located within walking distance of stores, restaurants and (3) churches. If you are renting, remember the higher you go the better the view – and it will only take a couple extra minutes to get to the beach.

Pyramid Condos
It isn’t 5000 years old nor was it built by the Egyptians, but The Pyramid in Ocean City, Maryland is a unique building on the East Coast that has won several architectural awards. John Whaley, a local developer, commissioned architect William Morgan to design his building in 1971. Morgan was known for designing buildings that respected the landscape. The result is an asymmetrical pyramid that resembles a steep dune.*
The Pyramid was finished in 1975 with 171 one and two bedroom units and an oceanfront heated pool. The building is poured concrete to the 15th floor and is built on over 225 pilings with transverse slabs. It has been said that it is one of the quietest and safest buildings in Ocean City.
Jimmy Hamm, construction superintendent remarked, “It’s the damnedest thing I’ve ever tackled. But, frankly, I’ve never been as proud of a job I worked on as I am of this one.”
Unusually distinct, because of its unique shape, no one can mistake the Pyramid Condos for any other building in Ocean City. This building features distinctive, uniquely-shaped units and a large outdoor pool w/ sundeck.

* One advantage of the unique shape is that it reduces the amount of afternoon shade on the beach – enabling sun worshippers to “worship” a bit longer into the day.
