Please Pardon the Sand

Shell on Ocean City Beach

We are updating our website to celebrate our 23rd anniversary online serving people who love Ocean City as much as we do. We’ve been here since June, 1999, and 23 years is a great run. We are looking forward to many more years of OC fun-in-the-sun. Most things are still here – but in a mixture of the old and the new page styles.

Meanwhile the crabs are hot, the beer is cold and the hotel booking engine works perfectly. C’mon “Downey Ocean, Hon” to Visit Ocean City.

On the Edge in Ocean City

A panorama and regular print of “standing at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean” in OCMD

It’s summertime and the living is easy.

We’re on the beach, where the water meets the sand, and it’s time to get in touch with your inner child. This is where you can let go of all your cares and worries and just be a kid again.

Kick off your shoes, throw off your cares, and set them down by your towel. You’re here to relax, so why not start with something simple? Think surf, sun and sand…

Let’s talk about those toes for a second: they’ve been trapped in those uncomfortable shoes for hours now—don’t they deserve some attention? Take off those shoes and socks and dig those toes into that soft sand!

Now let’s move on from there… replace those pant or skirt with a swimming suit and feel how good the sand feels against your skin. Don’t worry about what people think of you—this is your time! Just let yourself be free!

What’s better than a day at the beach? A day at the beach with your family or friend is truly hard to beat. With one of these photographs you can bring the beach into you home and enjoy it all year long.

Ocean City, Maryland is the perfect place to enjoy summer fun in the surf. The water has a gentle slope and the sand is soft and welcoming. The shoreline is such that it helps to keep the waves from becoming too rough for even young children.

If you’re looking for something more adventurous, you can explore the many local restaurants, shops and attractions that make Ocean City so special. You’ll find plenty of activities for all ages including miniature golfing, jet skiing, parasailing and water skiing just steps away from your hotel room!

Twilight Sky over the Ocean City Skyline

Dramatic sky and lighting from Fenwick Island to Condo Row in Ocean City

The skyline of Ocean City, Maryland and Fenwick Island, Delaware is colorfully lit by the evening sun as it sets over the Delmarva Peninsula in the west . This photograph was captured from 350 feet in altitude over the community of West Fenwick and, looking toward the southeast, actually shows about 10 miles of shoreline along the coast. Assawoman Bay is the body of water in the foreground and the Atlantic Ocean, of course, is in the distance beyond the row of buildings on the island.

“Ocean City Skyline at Sunset”

When photographing a sunset, even when creating an aerial image from a drone, it is always a good idea to look in the opposite direction from the sunset. Often the light from the setting sun will create a dramatic sky to the east – especially when there is a mixture of clouds from a passing storm.
